Patchwork Messenger Bag Pattern

The Patchwork Messenger Bag is both stylish and functional. It has 2 interior and 2 exterior pockets. The exterior back pockets are great for carrying things you need easy access to (like your cell phone). The front, back and flap are padded with lightweight batting. The side/bottom piece is reinforced with stiff interfacing to give it added structure.

12" W x 12" H x 1.5" D

 

Materials Needed:

Exterior Fabrics: Requirements for the exterior fabrics vary based on the number of fabrics you use. Please see pattern pieces to estimate how much fabric you will need.
Lining Fabric: 1 yard
Fusible Interfacing: 2 7/8 yard
Lightweight Batting: Craft size package (you will have some left over)
Stiff Nonfusible Interfacing: 1 yard (you will have some left over, but you need 1 continuous yard)
1.25” Purse Rings (2) (1.25” is the inside measurement)
1” D-Rings (2)
